เป็นรูปแบบเจดีย์ลาวสร้างระหว่างช่วงสมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยามากกว่ารูปแบบพระปรางค์เขมร
The provincial symbol shows the Phrathat Choeng
Chum, a Lao-style chedi built during the Ayutthaya period over a Khmer style
prang.
พระธาตุเชิงชุมก่อขึ้นสวมรอยพระบาท
ของพระพุทธเจ้าสี่พระองค์ ในภัทรกัปนี้ คือ พระพุทธเจ้ากกุสันธะ โกนาคมนะ กัสสปะ
และ โคตมะ หรือพระศรีอาริยเมตไตรย
Phra That Choeng Chum, it is built to cover
footprints of four Buddhas namely Phra Kakusantha, Phra Konakom, Phra Kassapa,
and Phra Kodom or Phra Sri Ariyametrei (The present Lord Buddha).
ถัดจากพระธาตุคือวิหารซึ่งเป็นบ้านของหลวงพ่อองค์แสน
รูปปั้นพระพุทธรูปศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของจังหวัด
Next to the Phra That is the chapel that houses
Luang Por Ong Saen, a sacred Buddha statue of the province.
มีลักษณะเป็นเหรียญสิบสตางค์กลับด้าน
It is featured on the
reverse of the ten-satang coin.
